Thank you Lord. My goal was 1700 words and I did 1762. This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo (Nation Novel Writing Month) and I love it! Tomorrow, if I get no interruptions 2000 or 2500 at least.
Excerpt from “Truth be Told”
“Truth be told, I’m a liar, who will lie about anything to cover my shame.” Rhea gingerly dabbed her eyes with the moist tissue, falling back sideways into the soft sofa cushions in Dr. Vincent’s office. “Have you lied to me?” Dr. Vincent asked. “Yes!” Rhea adjusted herself saying, “I came in here broken, busted, and still wanted to impress you; So I lied…But I’m tired of lying, now I just want to die.” Dr. Vincent shifted in her ergonomically correct chair, clicking her pen, cautiously leaned forward and asked Rhea, “Do you feel like you want to harm yourself? Are you having suicidal thoughts?” Rhea chuckled, responding, “ Well, Doc…I’m actually having ‘Shomucidal’ thoughts. If I would decide to take the quickie exit outta here, let’s just say, I wouldn’t be alone on that journey!” After a laboriously pregnant pause…Rhea laughingly, with emphasis said, “Nah Doc, I sincerely haven’t had any suicidal nor homicidal thoughts, for the record. I’m just tired of the life I’m living and now, I want to do the work to change it!”

I awakened the sleeping dawn with my cry unto the LORD.

My earnest, vigorous supplications shook the sun in the skies to rise, and spread it’s rays.

Daylight found me on my face & knees before the LORD seeking HIS face, HIS will; HIS way;HIS plan for my life; HIS comfort for my pain; HIS joy that always comes in the morning.

After my night of weeping is done, done, done, I arise in the morning seeking strength from the LORD to continue my race and run, run, Run!

ANTICIPATE THE MOMENT I WANT TO LOSE CONTROL

WAIT FOR IT… WAIT FOR IT..TIME TO MAKE A MOVE,

TAKE A HAND, DO A DANCE, GLIDING TO OUR GROOVE

EYES STILL CONNECTED, HIPS AND ARMS NOW TOO

YOU CAN SEE STRAIGHT THROUGH ME, AND I CAN SEE THROUGH YOU

JAZZY VOICES, SINGING LOVE SONGS, NOT A NOTE OF DOOM

WE COULD TELL IT FROM OUR GAZE ACROSS THE CROWED ROOM

Our history, is no mystery

It’s been spoken or written about

And slavery’s injustice, didn’t just exist in the south

Enslavement is a mindset, either born or wooed into

Are you a slave to circumstance, or a deliberate act of you?

When you have chosen not to vote, or elevate your own state of mind

You have chosen to stay stuck, in what is left behind

When you refuse to crack a book, to question, argue, explore

You have chosen the lesser path, enlightenment, you’ve ignored

All cultures experience injustice, that’s the natural state of man

Some seek or create those of lower esteem, to have them at their command.

Are you the predator, or the prey?

Are you swallowed by darkness? Do you shine as the day?

Have you bought the lie, ate from the pie of our Nations History books?

Have you stood your ground, and marched around, till your walls of Jericho shook?

Do you confront the lads, with the baggy pants, advertising their willingness to be overcome?

Or do you shake your head, complain, go to bed, crouch in the comfort of your your own home?

I have heard it said from times long past, that no man is an island

If an earthquake shakes me from across the globe, the tremors will be felt in your hand

When you take a look in your pocketbook, and see less in your wallet

For the goods you rely on from overseas, low supplies, demand higher prices

Our history is no mystery.

We know the grand design

crack a book, and take a look,

people please elevate your mind!

Surviving is not enough!

I made it through the bad times that almost took me out

Every hope and dream I had, tossed, battered about

A pearl, a diamond, special treasure, before a swiney snout

My deliverance has come nigh, it’s time to Praise and Shout!!!

Victory; Deliverance; Healing; Peace divine

I’m claiming; Taking all I want, and everything that’s mine.

Hanging in; Just making it; Surviving’s not enough

God has so much more for me,

Tough times don’t phase the tough

I’m tough.

Yes I’m tough and tender too,

A blessed woman through and through

Doing what I’ve got to do

Get out of my way, I’m coming Through

To take the place before me, in the presence of my enemies,

At the table of God’s precious love, prepared just for Me

I feel the sweet oil anoint my head,

So pure flows to my feet.

Passionately, savoring my overflowing cup

Goodness and mercy have followed me

Surviving is not enough!

SHE WRITES
SHE…writes her life, her love, her passion.
She writes what’s in and out of fashion.
She writes a mess…
She writes what’s good.
She has to write, that’s understood.
She writes her high’s, her low’s, her joy’s, her sorrows.
She writes her mundane days, her sleepless nights, her hopes for tomorrow.
She writes for you, she writes for me, she writes what was, and what could be….she writes.
When things are going well, she writes.
When she is catching hell, she writes.
She ushers in the dawn, and writes.
When nights are cold and long, she writes.
On the family’s kitchen table, any time or place she’s able; by the pool, in horses stable’s….she writes.
She tells the story of our lives; expands the soul and opens eyes; exposes wolves in lambs disguise…she writes. She writes. She writes!
Encourage her to write, for the life she may be saving…
could be yours.

HOPE IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT

THERE IS A ONE WHO CALLS ME TO REST IN THE COMFORT OF HIS BREAST. HE IS IN ME AND I IN HIM. I AM MY BELOVEDS, AND HE IS MINE. I’M EMBRACED WARMLY IN A SACRED, DIVINE TRIUNE LOVE…GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT…AND ME IN THE MIDDLE , SAFE AND SECURE; TRUSTING THAT THE WORK THAT JESUS BEGAN IN ME WILL BE COMPLETED TO GOD’S GLORY, AS HE IS PERFECTING ALL THAT CONCERNS ME. SO WHEN I FEEL THE HEAT FROM THE FLAMES OF THE BURNISHING FIRE IN THE MIDST OF THE FURNACE…I WITHSTAND KNOWING THAT I SHALL COME FORTH AS PURE GOLD.
